Current and Upcoming Events: Water on the Border

Water on the Border, featuring work by The Border Artists art organization of Las Cruces, opens in the Branigan Cultural Center on Friday, June 30, and continues through Saturday, September 16. An artists’ reception will be held on Friday, July 7, from 5pm to 7pm.
The exhibition will feature works in multiple mediums that address the topic of water in the Rio Grande US/Mexico border region. Themes include water and community, water scarcity, and water as it relates to the individual. Works by 19 artists will be on display.

The Border Artists present an exhibition encompassing a visual perspective based on our theme Water on the Border". We hope to engage the viewer in a broader interpretation of how water influences life on the border, the Hispanic culture and the diversity of the landscape.
